Inbiose is a biotechnology company spun off from Ghent University, dedicated to the development and production of Human Milk Oligosaccharides (HMOs) as novel food ingredients. These functional carbohydrates have proven health benefits in supporting immunity, gut health, and cognitive development, and are increasingly used in infant formula and dietary supplements. Over the past 12 years, we have successfully developed 6 HMOs, obtained regulatory approvals in multiple markets (EU, US, Canada, Australia/New Zealand, and China for one HMO), and established commercial-scale production (currently 200 MT/year) with our manufacturing partner in Taiwan China. We are now expanding capacity in Germany to exceed 1,000 MT/year.
China represents a key market for our long-term growth, with an expected contribution of around 50% of future sales volume.
Fully communicate and exchange ideas with the National Health Commission and the State Administration for Market Regulation to understand the policies on food approval, market access and supervision.

Potential future localisation options, such as establishing a representative office or licensed manufacturing operation in China, including understanding the requirements for technology transfer, regulatory permits, and possible funding or partnership frameworks.
